Fasting
If everything we’ve got is blowing away
We’ve got a rock and a rock till our dying day
I’m holding on to you, holding on to me
Maybe it’s all we got but it’s all I need
You’re all I need
Please considering joining me in fasting for Ian tomorrow, Wednesday the 12th.
Specific prayers would be:
Wisdom for us and for Ian to learn how to communicate to each other
That Ian would be encouraged and believe true thoughts about God
That, if it is His will, God would completely restore Ian, and soon
Thank you, always, for praying…

Thanks so much for asking. ‘Will join you in fasting for God to move on Ian’s behalf; for His Power, Mercy, Glory, Healing, and Holy Spirit to be poured out. Looking up for prayers answered.

I was freshly inspired to have faith for God to restore Ian when singing these words recently:
Hear Him, ye deaf; His praise, ye dumb,
Your loosened tongues employ;
Ye blind, behold your Savior come,
And leap, ye lame, for joy.
When we recount the miracles of Jesus, why shouldn’t we believe that he would want to heal Ian? Oh, what a God we come to!

i obviously read today’s blog too late to fast…….i have had first and second breakfasts (re: Lord of the Rings), but I think it would be great to do on a regular basis. I just read a piper article that commended fasting for our western culture, “which goes to great lengths to avoid even the hint of ‘suffering'”. gigi

Even though I’ve never met you, Larissa, you have so inspired me by your testimony and faith and faithfulness. I have followed Ian’s story and your involvement and have been praying for him and for your strength. May God hear your prayers and heal Ian; may God enable you to have a joyful heart; may God use this for good in your life and bless you.
