exactly four weeks later
we found ourselves in the er again today, exactly four weeks after we were there with steve. ian had a seizure this morning and after several tests and prescriptions, he is back home sleeping. we aren’t sure what caused it but there don’t seem to be any huge side effects- his speech in particular seems to be ok. it’s the first he’s ever had.
please pray for ian that god would spare him from further seizures and that the effects from this one would be minimal. please also pray for comfort and rest for him.
thank you

Will be praying for Ian and the family. Having spent many an hour in the ER and hospital with my son's seizures,
I know how difficult that time can be…and, yet, God's strength, comfort, and peace can be witnessed so sweetly during our times of helplessness and confusion and fear — and need His reminders of mercy and love towards our family…. Blessings and love,

This truly is mind-boggling Providence. I am amazed at His workings in your family, and saddened, and grateful (oh, so grateful!) for your faith through it all!
……….
[N]ow, in reflection, my heartfelt prayer, with thanksgiving for His Faithful ways, is this:
"Please keep me faithful, help me to hear Your voice,
to follow hard after You,
to believe in You in all aspects of my life, to live boldly for Your kingdom,
to not give up in times of weariness or darkness, but to walk faithfully more and more
until I see Your face."
[T]o seek to live out your story faithfully before God who sees and God who gives life.

lifting you with a weighted heart,

Prayers continue.
"God's loyal love couldn't have run out,
His merciful love couldn't have dried up.
They're created new every morning.
How great is Your faithfulness!
I'm sticking with God (I say it over and over).
He's all I've got left.
God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits,
to the woman who diligently seeks.
It's a good thing to quietly hope,
quietly hope for help from God.
It's a good thing when you're young
to stick it out through the hard times.
When life is heavy and hard to take,
go off by yourself. Enter the silence.
Bow in prayer. Don't ask questions:
Wait for hope to appear.
Don't run from trouble. Take it full-face.
The 'worst' is never the worst.
Why? Because the Master won't ever
walk out and fail to return.

Mary, Larissa,
Steve, Ian,
Prayer pours out for the Strength of the Lord, the Lord's strength for you…
……………………………….
I sometimes get discouraged, sometimes I despair. It's so hard to see the sun (Son) when you're in the dark valleys, isn't it?
But He keeps bringing me up the mountains to see the beautiful view of the tapestry of my family's lives.
If I just hang on a little longer through the valley, there's the mountain on the other side and at the top is the overwhelming peace of His presence.
At the top, I can see the miracles behind me, a trail of them, like a patchwork ribbon of joys and sorrows, beautiful contrasts that I can only understand afterward ~ some on the mountains and some not until Mt. Zion.

And yet another prayer-plea for Grace for each of you:
………………………………….
…but doesnt the joy of His covenantal, always, unwavering, right-to-the-end, love wipes away the tears? Our shortcomings cripple, but doesnt the joy of the Lord strengthen these bent and weary bones?
God has memories too of a covenant written in blood, a promise etched on palms, a love that makes all things new. A love that makes us new.
Father God, I praise You: behold You make all things new. Even us…
