I know! Today will bring back very sad memories, but I chose to remember it as a day when God showed us His wonderful mercy AND love. He spared Ian so that the world could see that mercy. Ian and his family including Larrisa have given us all an example of how we should be more trusting of God's graces and love. May you all continue to inspire us, as we continue to pray for you; Ian, Steve and all your family. In Christian love, Rene P.S.(I talked with Caleb for a short while last Sunday at the SG Church in Altoona – where I now attend.)
Three years ago we received a call on our vacation that Ian was in an accident and was not expected to live through the night. Doctors had already asked for permission to use his organs for saving others. Today Ian is alive, he has his organs…and only Jesus know how many people's lives have been changed and saved by his trust in Christ. Ian never lost Christ and has had family and especially Larissa! God never leaves or forsakes us…
Larissa I'm praying that today you would feel your Lord's arms around you even tighter than before. I'm praying that our Lord would encourage you in some "small" yet "big" way today, if you know what I mean. I really hope you and Ian can make some special memory together today. One that will make you smile and laugh hard for years to come. Thanks for sharing. With tears, Wendy in Maryland
i've been thinking of you guys all day long. praising the Lord for what he has done in 3 years, pleading with him for full restoration this side of heaven.
"I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." Psalm 27:13,14
So much we don't understand but we continue to stand and persevere by faith… keeping you in prayer for as long as it takes.
I know Aunt Terry very well, and I agree with her…although it maybe hard to hear or AND hard at times (more than any of us know or understand)…but…as she said…and God is with you still. I PRAISE HIM for that..where would we be without Him?
Larissa, I'm praying for you and Ian today. We have not forgotten you, and I know God has not abandoned you. I pray that the holy spirit would be near to you today.
Larissa, so few words — so much said!! My heart cries out for you and Ian!! What a blessing to know that "God is with you still" even when we must trust Him by faith and not necessarily by sight. I will continue to pray believing that God is good and gracious to us and is (somehow) working all things together for good in your life!!! Love ya!!! Joni
I'm a stranger, yet somehow mysteriously your sister in Christ. I've followed Ian's story for a while now. September 27 marked 6 years since a car accident that nearly ended my own life. I know these "anniversarys" come with a lot of emotion. Praying that God himself would encourage, sustain and provide for all of your needs.

I thought that, too, Larissa, as I'm sure MANY prayer partners have.
God has not forsaken or forgotten you!
Still Praying for all of you everyday!
