Larissa and Ian, Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm still a little bummed that I missed such a beautiful wedding for two absolutely beautiful people. I miss you both!
What a beautiful wedding. Our 24y.o. Laurie Dawn who has been in a coma 3years 8months couldn't stop smiling and shaking her head. Little darlin it has been years since we've been their…and the smiles are on the faces. So much to be glad & rejoice inMuch LOVE!
I've been reading your blog for several years now, and I find that I have found it especially comforting and refreshing when I was going through times of sorrow myself. As I was thinking about your wedding video (which I would describe as "heartbreakingly beautiful"), it occurred to me that though there are some aspects of your life that must feel broken to you, there's nothing broken at all about your portrayal of Christ and the church. And that's the purpose of marriage, isn't it?
Praying you find daily help from the God of all hope.
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your life with us! You could not possibly know (this side of heaven) what an impact you both are having on others. Freshly aware and amazed at God's amazing grace.
I'm so glad you posted this. And I'm so glad you got married. 🙂 Seeing those lights float toward Heaven made me imagine what it will be like one day when God commends His children for continuing to celebrate Him even when this world screamed at us not to. The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him! Sara B.
I think this is the most beautiful and touching wedding I have have ever seen. Thank you for choosing marriage and being such a blessing to so many people.
Hi, I just heard you on the Boundless podcast and went straight to your blog. I watched your wedding video, and was moved to tears of joy, hope, and grief. I realize how disillusioned I am about marriage, and how very far I have fallen from what God made it to be. Your marriage truly is a relfection of His love and faithfulness, and for that I thank you a million times over. Bless you as you serve and honour Him in all you do! Danah Ruth
I, too, was pulled here after hearing Larissa speak on Boundless. What a beautiful story, and a beautiful wedding! I love the simplicity of your wedding, it looks like it was truly a celebration of two lives uniting. Blessings to you both!
