he’s really nice
i had just sat down at the patio table, cutting some strawberries for our dessert.
“you’re really beautiful.”
“what makes you say that right now?”
“because of the way that you’re serving me.”
what a guy. a sweet, sweet guy that i get to be married to. and he’s honoring in me that which honors God in marriage. i just love him.

Awe, that's awesome! It's nice when husbands notice the little things we do. 😀

It's lovely that he notices and appreciates the things you do for him.
That is very important in marriage.
A simple comment like this is so sweet and caring.
It makes the heart warm, no matter how long one has been married!
God bless you and Ian.

Beautiful! You and your blog about your marriage!! So encouraging to read your posts. I am the mother of a now 35 year old (wow) adopted son who has CP. He is non-ambulatory and non-verbal and one of our GREATEST blessings. I know the heartache and the love involved. Larisa with your permission I would love to share this post at a fall tea party I am planning all based around aprons and servanthood with your okay of course.
Blessings and hugs from Arizona,
Dorothy

In this world where we are bombarded with images of outer beauty, I often find that I'm tearing myself down for not measuring up. But that is not the beauty that matters. Serving and loving is what matters. You have reminded me of that and I am truly grateful. I hope to serve my husband more fully and accept his compliments. Thank you for this gift and blessing that you have given me.
I just found your blog through mom4life (and found that through a friend's facebook post). I can't stop reading your story. You and Ian are so beautiful and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your love and God's love.
