ian what do you hope for in year 28?
to fall more in love with my savior.
how do you have such a tender heart for the Lord?
He’s given me everything.

you guys are the best. all of Ian’s paintings sold in 12 hours! Ian will be hard at work this week getting some more stuff ready for you guys! We’re going to start making prints, too. This was a totally spontaneous idea so it may take awhile to get a good collection started but we are so excited!

Thank you!
I&L

ian’s paintings

ian opened a shop to start selling some of his art therapy paintings. all of the money he earns will pay for his therapy sessions where he’s learning to walk, which we’re now required to pay for privately. one painting sold pays for one day of therapy.

i love watching him paint. i love that he can paint. i love that he talks through each of his paintings and they mean something to him.

we hope you enjoy!

his own two legs

for the first time in seven years, ian left the house without a wheelchair. tonight he left with just the strength in his legs and his walker.

i asked him how it felt and he said he feels the independence.

so grateful that after seven years, he still moves on. so grateful that Ian and God continue to surprise me.

i love you, ian.

the little big things

the wheelchair caught my eye last night, as it sat alone in the living room. I walked past and realized Ian wasn’t in it. Ian wasn’t in the room. Ian was walking through the kitchen with his walker and with Devon.

this little big thing, an empty room and an empty wheelchair, meant that Ian had left that room standing, and walking.

this little big thing reminds me that my husband still fights.

I love him.

new

my new friends, who helped me to stumble through my first time speaking at a weekend retreat.
coming home to a new season of patio life and sleeping with windows open.
god brings new life with spring and sun. resting in thankfulness tonight for that newness and for God always winning.
thank you, for praying. ian continues to have fatigue and we continue to pray for God to show us why.
