we made it!!!!! photos will come soon, but in the meantime here is something that our pastor wrote on his blog about our wedding:
so soon!!!!!!!!!!!
Ian fell today and fractured his humerus. He, as usual, was believing truth about God even while waiting in the ER. I asked him how he felt about breaking a bone 9 days before our wedding, and he said “my left arm says that god is sovereign.” (the fracture was on his right arm, which he doesn’t have much use of since the accident. if the break had been on his right arm, he would be in much worse shape).
please pray that he would not be in pain and that his recovery would be quick. he will have a sling for 4-8 weeks.
thank you, as always.

12 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ian and I were reading through the first blog posts after his accident. This is what he wanted to say to everyone who has been praying:
“Thank you for everything. I can’t really remember being that sick, but God has brought me better health. God is faithful for bringing me back to health. Thank you for always praying. I still have disabilities but God is faithful. I love Larissa and in five weeks am getting married. God has never forsaken me. “
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end.

We got our marriage license today. Kudos to us.
58 days and counting
I feel like I should suspend the blog until after the wedding, so that I don’t feel guilty for not writing. Obviously, it’s been pretty busy with lots of life changes- starting a new job, me moving into our new house, working on the wedding. But they are all good changes.
Our Biggest Advocate
Steve was our number one advocate for marriage. He knew that there were many reasons why we would decide to not get married, and he understood them. But he even more strongly could see that the Gospel was bigger than the difficulties that we would face as a married couple. He so longed to see us married. He believed wholeheartedly that God would sustain and bless our marriage.
We’re approved:)
