Ian said to write whatever I wanted tonight and said he wanted prayer for whatever I think he needs prayer for. I caught on quickly and realized he was brushing it off on me because he’s totally distracted by Oprah’s soothing voice on the Discovery Channel’s premiere of “Life.” He’s such a loser..
So, since I have to guess, I would ask prayer for Ian’s initiation and that he would have a breakthrough here at therapy. We don’t have a date of when he will be discharged- he’s allowed to stay as long as he’s making progress.

The area for the addition to our house (for Ian) has been cleared, and the footer and the ditch for the sewer line were dug today. So many from the church have been volunteering their time and giving so much. Thanks, Frank, for organizing this and Donna, for the food. Dave and Max, thanks again. Rod was here working, too. A guy I’d never met before, Chris, volunteered his time, too. Thanks, Chris! If I keep thanking everyone here who helps with this, I will definitely bore you to tears.
We learned today that the thrush in Ian’s mouth isn’t necessarily there anymore. But, they found the same powerful bacteria (it resists many antibiotics) in his mouth that was in his eye and on some of his wounds. The staff treated those other areas, but the same thing emerged in his mouth.
late last week we learned that ian has pre-osteoporisis in his lumbar spine and left femur. please pray that we’re able to do enough exercise for him that it doesn’t progress quickly.
i need a place to hide, to bury myself into rest and into the love that was bought for me. far too human to love as deeply in return as i have been given, i weakly thrust myself onto love that came down, love that rescued me and rescued my husband.
